Seated Acupressure Massage, often referred to as on-site massage, is based on the traditional Japanese acupressure. This highly effective treatment can help bring relief from stress and aims to stimulate the acupressure points in the head, neck, shoulders, spine and lower back, this in turn helping with headaches, aches and pains. Unlike acupuncture, seated acupressure massage does not use needles. Instead, the therapist uses their hands, thumbs and or elbows to stimulate the energy points which can be found all along the meridians of the body. This is achieved through a sequence of movements, which are designed to improve the flow of energy, balance and strengthen the body’s muscular, circulatory and nervous systems.
